Finite-element framework for simulating coupled thermal, hydraulic, mechanical, and chemical processes in porous and fractured media.

OpenGeoSys models interactions among heat, fluid flow, mechanical deformation, and chemical processes below ground. Researchers can prepare meshes, assign material properties and boundary conditions, and solve coupled models. Applications include groundwater transport, geothermal reservoirs, and geological waste storage. Results use VTK output for visualization, while parallel computation supports larger simulations.
