Libraries for 3D modeling, CAD data exchange, and visualization.
Open CASCADE Technology supplies C++ libraries for building applications that create, manipulate and display 3D surfaces and solids. Its CAD data-exchange components support moving models between engineering workflows. Developers integrate the libraries into CAD, manufacturing, measurement or simulation software, using source builds or platform-specific binary packages.

Run modes
- Library / SDK
Most OCCT function is C++ libraries for modeling, data exchange, and visualization.
Install methods
- Downloadable binary / archive
Certified platform-specific binary packages include OCCT and third-party binaries.
- Build from source
Git snapshot or the complete source archive, then the CMake build.
Documented platforms
- Windows / Linux / macOS / Android / Web
Build document: Visual Studio 2019+ or MinGW-w64 on Windows, GCC or Clang on Linux, Apple Clang or Xcode on macOS, Android NDK, and Emscripten for Web.
Resource and setup notes
- Minimum: CMake 3.10 or later, and a C++17 compiler.
CMake 3.16 or newer is recommended, and required when BUILD_USE_PCH is on.
- Constraint: A typical minimum adds FreeType for visualization and Tcl/Tk for DRAW.
The build document says the full third-party set depends on which modules are enabled.
