OpenWA is a self-hosted, unofficial WhatsApp gateway that exposes messaging and session management through HTTP APIs and a web dashboard. It supports concurrent sessions, webhooks and configurable database and media-storage backends. Docker deployment is documented. Connections use reverse-engineered clients rather than Meta's official Cloud API, and the project warns that linked accounts may be restricted or banned.
